Thomas Herrod
Financial Adviser
As a lifelong resident of Joplin, Missouri, Tom is passionate about contributing and giving back to the community. While in his freshman year at Missouri Southern State University, he started Herrod Development Company, which specialized in rental properties, development, and custom home construction. After earning his MBA in Finance from Missouri State University, he formed Herrod Financial Group. Tom’s practice involves holistic financial planning* geared toward helping clients reach their goals.
He and Mary Lynn, his wife of over 30 years, have two adult daughters and an adorable grandson. Whenever possible, Tom enjoys a variety of outdoor sports and adventures with his family and friends.
Mary Lynn Herrod
Office Manager
Mary Lynn has worked by Tom’s side during his entire career in a variety of capacities with both Herrod Financial Group and Herrod Development Company. As Office Manager, she likes the challenge and variety of work, but building relationships with our clients is her favorite part of the job.
Mary Lynn is well known for her gifts of encouragement and hospitality. She enjoys traveling with Tom and is especially fond of mountains and beaches.
Whitney Herrod Khader
Operations Coordinator
Whitney is a wearer of many hats and has over a decade of experience working with her parents, Tom and Mary Lynn. She received a BFA in Fashion Design from the University of North Texas and has a background in design and styling, project management, and client relations. As Operations Coordinator, Whitney oversees a variety of tasks including reviewing processes, managing an online presence, and working directly with clients.
Whitney currently resides in Denton, TX, with her husband, toddler, and two cats. She enjoys exploring new places, eating Thai food, and all things creative.
